About North West Recycling Ltd
North West Recycling Ltd is Cumbria's largest private waste management provider, based near Carlisle. The business collects and processes waste from homes, businesses, farms and construction sites across Cumbria, South West Scotland and Northumberland. Services include skip hire, waste collection, spoil management, site enablement, farm plastic disposal, land drainage materials, yard in-fill and farm tracks. The business also supplies recycled aggregates for construction and farming.
North West Recycling operates from a 30-acre purpose-built facility near Carlisle with over 2500 skips and containers and a fleet of over 25 vehicles. The business employs over 100 staff. Waste is processed on site at a Materials Recycling Facility, and an on-site renewable fuel production plant converts waste into energy. Account customers receive waste tracking and reporting tools, 30-day payment terms and unlimited rental periods for skips.
The business was founded in 1995 as Brampton Skip Hire and became North West Recycling. It diverts waste from landfill through its full recycling and material recovery process. Recycled aggregates are supplied at approximately 40 per cent of the cost of quarried stone. The business works with construction firms, housing developers, farms and commercial customers.
