Cheddar & Wells Skips Ltd is a family-run waste removal business near Wells. Ross and Jake Lansdown run the yard, which has been operating in the waste industry for over 35 years. The business collects household rubbish, garden waste, building rubble, soil and commercial waste from homeowners, builders, farmers and factories. It operates four lorries driven by its own team: a 12 tonne truck for tight access, an 18 tonne truck for larger projects, a hook loader for roll-on roll-off skips, and a backup lorry for busy days.
Cheddar & Wells Skips offers a full range of skips from 2 cubic yard mini skips to 12 cubic yard skips, plus 18 to 40 yard roll-on roll-off skips for large building projects. Standard hire is 14 days, and customers can book earlier collection online. Prices are fixed by postcode and shown online, including VAT, delivery, collection and recycling. Delivery and collection take place Monday to Friday in morning or afternoon slots. Road permits are arranged by the business for skips placed on the road.
Every skip returns to the business's own waste transfer station, where over 98% of the waste is recycled. Staff hold WAMITAB training and the business is a registered waste carrier.
