About AL Skips Ltd
AL Skips Ltd is a family-run skip hire business based in Welwyn Garden City. It delivers 6 to 14 yard skips for garden clearances, house clearances, renovations, building work and commercial waste across Hertfordshire. The five skip sizes range from 6 yards holding 65 or more bin bags to 14 yards holding 145 or more bin bags, with prices from £250 ex VAT upwards. Prices include delivery, collection and disposal, and road permits are arranged on request.
The business covers Welwyn Garden City, St Albans, Hatfield, Stevenage, Harpenden, Potters Bar and the villages in between. Customers call or WhatsApp with details of the job, postcode and when the skip is needed. Bookings made before 12 receive same day delivery. The driver delivers the skip, and customers fill it at their own pace. Once full, the business collects it and recycles the waste responsibly.
AL Skips Ltd is an upper tier licensed waste carrier registered with the Environment Agency. Suitable items for skips include wood, tiles, furniture, cardboard, garden waste, bricks, concrete, metals, rubble and stones. The 12 and 14 yard skips accept soil, muck and hardcore through other sizes. Prohibited items include computer monitors, car tyres, batteries, gas cylinders, fluorescent tubes and hazardous waste. The standard hire period is 10 days, and a Wait and Load service offers a 45-minute option where the driver waits while the skip is loaded.
