Waste transfer note template

A printable waste transfer note with the details the duty of care asks for: the waste, its code and quantity, who handed it over, who took it, your carrier registration number and the vehicle. Type your business name and it prints with it at the top.

When a note is needed

Every transfer of waste between businesses needs a written description of the waste, and most firms use a transfer note for it. A householder does not have to ask for one, but giving one shows the customer exactly who took their waste, which is what protects them if it is ever fly-tipped.

Waste transfer notes, explained

A template, not legal advice. Check it against the waste duty of care code of practice and your own permit conditions.

A business keeps its copy for at least two years. A householder is not required to keep one, but it is the best evidence of who took the waste.
