About Willshee’s Waste & Recycling
Willshee's Waste & Recycling is a family-led waste management company based in Burton-on-Trent. It was established on 12 March 1984 by founders Keith and Maria Willshee, who began with one lorry and ten skips, and it now serves homes and businesses across the Midlands.
Its services include commercial skip hire, domestic skip hire, commercial waste management, confidential waste, food waste, glass waste, hazardous waste, RORO skip hire, trade waste bins, waste compactors and electrical waste. A free waste audit is offered to businesses, and commercial services are built around each business's needs, with customers able to manage their account online through a customer portal.
The company has grown from its first depot, acquired in 1987 in Burton-on-Trent, to several depots, including a Materials Recovery Facility at Depot 3 in Swadlincote, which opened in September 2020. It celebrated 40 years in business in March 2024 and describes a focus on zero waste to landfill.
