Thetford International Compactors Ltd is a manufacturer of waste compaction equipment based in Thetford. Thetford International was founded in 1968 as Mechanical Products Supply Company Ltd and changed its name in 1977 to reflect its focus on compaction equipment. The factory at Rymer Point employs over 50 staff and occupies a seven acre site. All equipment is designed and manufactured in-house, including electrical controls, which allows the company to meet individual customer requirements and design complete waste handling systems. The company exports compactors to Europe, India, Australia and the United Arab Emirates.
Thetford International Compactors Services Limited provides installation, servicing and maintenance. Service engineers carry out routine servicing, high pressure cleaning and installation of new compactor systems. A warranty period of six months from installation can be extended to twelve months with a routine service contract. The company also offers fully inclusive service and maintenance contracts covering all call-outs, maintenance costs, routine servicing and replacement parts. The service fleet responds to call-outs.
