AVA Grab

About AVA Grab

AVA Grab is a family-owned grab hire and waste removal business based in Maidstone, formed in 2003. It removes inert waste from groundwork, construction, demolition and home improvement projects using specialist grab lorry vehicles. The business also supplies aggregates including Type 1 Roadstone, Recycled Type 1, Crushed Concrete and Ballast, screened and produced at its own facilities. Materials can be delivered in 1-tonne bags or by grab lorry.

The business covers Maidstone, Ashford, Medway, Canterbury, Gillingham, Gravesend, Sevenoaks, Sittingbourne, Rochester and Tonbridge. It works with private clients and companies carrying out underground utility works. Grab lorries remove soil and rubble, hardcore, green waste, crushed concrete, tarmac, construction and demolition waste, and general non-hazardous waste. A standard grab lorry carries approximately two to three 8-yard skips. The hydraulic arm reaches 7 to 8 metres, accessing hard-to-reach areas over fences, walls or parked cars.

AVA Grab offers flexible services by arrangement, including night work for major projects and a 24-hour emergency call-out service. A smaller 4-wheel lorry is available for areas with tighter access. The business holds a Waste Carrier Licence from the Environment Agency, and all drivers hold HGV licences. It operates with full insurance coverage. The team has 50 years of combined experience in waste handling and disposal.
