About Asa skips

Asa Skips is a family-run skip hire business based in Hyde. It delivers skips across Tameside, Saddleworth, Glossop, Stockport, Oldham and nearby areas for house clearances, garden clearances, home renovations and commercial projects. The business offers 2-yard, 4-yard and 8-yard skips, all in stock for same-day or next-day delivery.

Hire includes up to one week and general waste disposal. The 2-yard skip suits small projects and gardens, the 4-yard is used for house clearances, and the 8-yard is for large projects. Accepted waste includes wood, metal, plastics, garden waste and building materials. Asbestos, chemicals, paint, tyres, electrical items, fluorescent tubes and fridges are excluded. Road permits cost £25 to £35 if the skip is placed on a public road, and Asa Skips handles all permit applications.

The business is fully licensed and holds council permits to place skips on public roads. It covers Hyde, Ashton-under-Lyne, Stalybridge, Mossley, Dukinfield, Denton, Droylsden, Audenshaw and parts of Manchester, Stockport, Oldham and Glossop. Waste is taken to a licensed transfer station where it is sorted and recycled; over 80 per cent of general waste is recycled, and remaining materials are disposed of legally in accordance with environmental regulations.
